Crime News: Raipur, New Dunia Rep. A gang of thieves is active in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. They are targeting deserted houses. The latest case has come to light of the theft in the house of Deputy Director of Culture Department in the capital Raipur. The thieves committed the theft by breaking the lock of the house.

There has been an incident of cash theft from the house of Deputy Director JR Bhagat in Naya Raipur. The thieves crossed 60 thousand rupees cash and two mobiles kept in the cupboard. Mandir Hasaud police station has registered a case and started investigation. Police station in-charge Virendra Chandra said that he went to the spot and investigated. CCTV cameras installed nearby are being investigated.

In the Khamhardih police station area in the capital Raipur, the residents created a ruckus outside the police station. Two youths returning after Durga immersion were having a drunken brawl. When the police brought them to the police station, they surrounded the police station with the residents. After a while, ward councilor Rohit Sahu and former ward councilor Rakesh Dhotre also reached the police station. The commotion outside the police station lasted for more than four hours.

Additional police force was also deployed to pacify the matter. The protesters also tried to disrupt traffic at Khamhardih Chowk by creating a ruckus. As soon as the information was received, Additional SP Tarakeswar Patel, Akash Rao, Chanchal Tiwari, in-charge of eight police stations including CSP Vidhan Sabha Udayan Behar reached the spot, who explained, after which the matter was resolved.
